This exceptional damascus is crafted using a twisting technique, combining 100/120 layers of high-quality K720 and 15N20 tool steels.
This combination not only provides a striking, unique pattern throughout, but also excellent performance properties.
- K720 steel (Böhler O2) – high carbon tool steel produced by the renowned Böhler steelworks, the European equivalent of American O2 tool steel. Known for its high wear resistance, mechanical strength, and ease of achieving a razor-sharp edge.
- 15N20 steel – contains nickel, which creates bright, contrasting bands in the pattern of forged damascus, while also increasing hardness and impact resistance.
